In fact, Belfort thinks the comments say more about the critics than anything, especially middleweight contender Luke Rockhold. "I think they are just afraid. I understand," Belfort said on Mondays edition of The MMA Hour. "That playboy is still in shock from the kick. Hes in shock. People are in shock. Thats the word. Lions dont apologize for being lions. I dont. It is what it is." "The kick" Belfort is referring to is a spinning heel kick that left Rockhold dazed and confused on the mat while "The Phenom" finished their 2013 bout with punches halfway through the first round. "When you get knocked out, just shut your mouth, go to the gym and train," he said. "Eighteen years ago, all of these boys were in high school, and right now they think they are going to use me as a ladder? But the ladder is so high, the altitude is so high they cannot breathe. Hey bro, the altitude is too high." Belfort, an admitted testosterone-replaccement therapy user in the past, was responding to comments Rockhold made in an interview with Bloody Elbow on Monday.dddddddddddd Rockhold believes Belforts conditional license to fight middleweight champion Chris Weidman at UFC 181 is "questionable." Belfort, a former UFC light heavyweight champion, was granted the license for the title fight by the Nevada State Athletic Commission in a hearing last week under the terms that he not fight anywhere until the Dec. 6 event and is subject to random drug tests at any time and at his own expense. "It hurts my heart that guys like Vitor get rewarded for their conscious mistakes, but Karma is going to get him sooner or later. He can only skate by for so long," he said. Rockhold also thinks Belfort "is not going to make the fight." "Hes either going to get off steroids, train and then get injured because hes not on them anymore, get caught for PEDs, or hes going to back out with an "injury," Rockhold said. "One of those things is going to happen." ' ' '
